ABOUT US

The ON TRAC Project is led by Dr Louisa Codjoe and Ms Juney Muhammad, who both have a strong interest and passion in improving healthcare inequalities and working with Black communities. This project is a collaboration between South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, King’s College London and funded by Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charitable Trust. This research is led by Professor Sir Graham Thornicroft, a leading expert in stigma and discrimination.

OUR RESEARCH

The project aims to create a mental health awareness training package for local Black majority or led faith communities which is accredited by King’s College London. ON TRAC will offer opportunities for interested members of faith communities to be trained to co-facilitate mental health awareness groups, to become mental health champions for their faith community or to become faith consultants for South London and Maudsley. These roles will involve offering consultation to staff around any faith-based queries they may have when working with service users.
